Storm 96 finalists at the 2006 Cahaba Cup Storm ‘96 competed in the U10 Girls Gold Division at the 2006 Cahaba Cup in Trusville, AL with two teams (White and Black). The division of seven teams was split into two brackets to determine semi-final seedings, with Storm White achieving a 2-1 record in their bracket and Storm Black achieving a 2-0 record, playing one fewer game. The Storm teams were drawn to play each other in the semi-finals, with Storm Black on this occasion the winner. In the final Storm Black played local Chattanooga team, the Redoubt Lady Generals. In an exciting, close, competitive game, the score was 0-0 after regular time and still scoreless after extra-time. The final then had to be decided on penalties. The Lady Generals were able to score one more penalty and Storm 96 Black finished as runner-up. Storm Black and White are shown below before their semi-final game.
