Signal Mountain Storm 96 girls’ Finalists in Sugar and Spice soccer tournament The Signal Mountain Storm 96 girls’ select soccer team competed in the U11 girls Platinum division of the Sugar and Spice Soccer tournament in Douglasville, GA during the weekend of November 18 and 19th. Storm 96 recorded wins of 2-0 versus Redoubt Lady Generals (Tenn.), 2-0 versus Lady Jets (Ala.) and 2-0 versus North Atlanta Soccer Academy (Georgia). Storm’s only loss (2-5) came in the final against the eventual tournament winners, the Patriots from Augusta, Georgia. Playing in the highest tournament division Storm 96 enjoyed strong competition from some very good soccer teams and were pleased to finish with a 3-1 tournament record. The Storm 96 team is shown with their finalist trophies.
