Signal Mountain Storm 96 girls’ select soccer team competed in the U14 girls Platinum division of the Sugar and Spice Soccer tournament in Douglasville, GA during the weekend of November 22nd and 23rd. Storm 96 recorded wins versus Bartow Shooters, Troop Titans 95 Athena, VR Rush and a 2-2 tie versus DC Starline Flyers ’95 to win the tournament on points. As a U13 team, Storm 96 competed in a higher age group, enjoyed strong competition and were pleased to finish as tournament champions with a 3-0-1 record, scoring 16 and conceding only 4 goals during four tournament games.
